RBHS Shines a Light on DLD Day 2025
Monday, 20th October 2025

This year, Rivington & Blackrod High School took part in Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) Day, marking the occasion with a series of events to raise awareness and understanding of this important cause.
The celebrations began on Thursday, 16th October, when the school was lit up in support of DLD Day — a powerful gesture symbolising the school’s ongoing commitment to inclusion and communication for all learners.
On Friday, 17th October, the school community came together once again, with the site decorated in colourful ribbons and staff proudly wearing theirs to show support. The atmosphere in the DLD Room was particularly positive, as students hosted visitors with coffee and cake, creating a welcoming space for conversation and connection.
The two days provided a great opportunity for students and staff to come together, raise awareness and show their support for such an important cause. Rivington & Blackrod High School would like to thank everyone who helped organise the events and all those who took part in making DLD Day 2025 such a success.
