Students and staff came together at Rivington and Blackrod Sixth Form this morning to celebrate A Level Results Day 2026, as the Class of 2026 received their results.

There were some fantastic achievements to celebrate, with particularly strong performances in Mathematics and Further Mathematics, alongside some outstanding individual results.

Among those celebrating was Thomas Hubbard, who achieved A*, A*, A and secured a place at the University of Manchester to study Mathematics; Raluca Dinca, who achieved four A grades and will go on to study Medicine at the University of Edinburgh; and Lucy Messih, who achieved Dist*, Dist*, Dist and secured a place at Edge Hill University to study Education with QTS.

Head of Sixth Form, Mr Lewis Meadows, said: “We are incredibly proud of our students and the fantastic results they have achieved. It has been brilliant to celebrate with them today and to see their hard work over the past two years rewarded. We wish every one of them the very best as they take their next steps and look forward to seeing what they go on to achieve.”
