RBHS and Harper Green School secure over £1million in CIF funding

Tuesday, 27th March 2024

We are delighted to announce that our schools have been successful in securing over £1million in funding through the Condition Improvement Fund allocation. This funding will support ongoing improvement projects across our schools, further enhancing the learning environments for our students.

The allocated funds will enable the installation of new fire doors at Rivington and Blackrod High School and support the continuation of the replacement roof project and installation of new fencing at Harper Green School. These successful bids demonstrate our proactive approach to maintenance of our assets, strengthening safety measures for the future across the Trust and safeguarding our pupils; the investment now will reduce possible costs of repairs in the forthcoming years, allowing us to spend our resources on the students.

These successful bids signify our commitment to investing in teaching and learning, ensuring our students have access to high-quality educational experiences. Leverhulme Trust has invested £17million in its schools over the past six years through capital projects, buildings, grounds and ICT infrastructure, demonstrating our commitment to enhancing our facilities and ensuring our students learn in the best possible environments. Similar previously successful Condition Improvement Fund grants have enabled Harper Green to build two brand new blocks, including a state of the art drama and dance studio.

We are thrilled with this outcome and look forward to the positive impact these improvements will have on our school communities.
